Why on-line voting?

Many of the surveys we have conducted for students unions have shown that the current students place a high value on the non academic experience when at University or College. Whilst the university authorities are responsible that some of this, the rest is down to you in the Students Union or Guild. And the main driving force here becomes your elected Sabbatical Officers. After all, they were elected to make things happen.

But, to have your Sabbs, and the rest of your Union, taken seriously, they need to be supported by strong electoral results.

So, what proportion of your student population turned out to vote in your last elections?

Isn't it time you looked at reliable online voting to increase turnout in this modern, wired, world?

A well organised and promoted elections using online voting coupled to your excellent on and offline promotion can really boost these votes. It can also reduce the hassle of the election, cutting down on the need to find volunteers at polling stations, promotion and counting duties. It even saves trees too!

If you are running multiple posts and seats at the same time then online voting encourages students to vote in all the polls for which they are eligible -- not just the one where their mate is standing for election.

For those voters who take a more measured approach you can give them access to the candidates' manifestos as they are voting.

That scourge of elections, spoiled ballot papers, is completely eliminated as voters must vote correctly to register their vote.

We can even provide online candidate registration!

So, if you are holding elections (and which Union does not) make sure you contact us in good time to book your slot. But don't just believe us, call us and we can put you in touch with a Union who has already benefited from this service.
